Eszmet's routine, once it becomes self-sustaining, is relatively simple; enter a dimension parallel to its own. Locate and extract SQUIPs, whether active or inactive. Return to the pocket dimension in which Somniatores is housed (there's actually quite a few of them out there, but they have no stories; they are, however, blank canvases, in which certain things can be...written, so to speak. It suspects this was how the school, 'Deadland', and the aforementioned Opera House(s) were created), and add to either it or the nursey set-up. From there, monitor any new activity picked up by Somniatores, perform maintenance as required - whether to one of the systems or itself - and then continue the work.

It never ends, but then, Eszmet would be alarmed if it did. The multiverse is vast and infinite, of course. And while it might also suspect it's missing certain things, it's confident that it's at least on a path to catch up to the rate of decay, and be able to prevent a total collapse.

...with a little help from its friends, of course.

Maybe you communicate through email. Social media (why does it have an account on EVERY PLATFORM). Maybe Eszmet actually visits in the flesh. Regardless, Eszmet probably keeps tabs on you, one way or another, even if it's not necessarily obvious about it.

You are, after all, part of its social network.

[ This is literally the cleanest room Orpheus has been in in his entire life, and frankly that fact is making him anxious. It makes sense? Eszmet doesn't seem like the type who'd abide much dirt or clutter given the choice, but... is it this clean for a reason? Is he going to ruin something by getting dirt on it? He's clean right now, he just took a bath before leaving to visit the SQUIPs, but now he's self-conscious about it.

He fidgets nervously, looking around at all the glowing lights and strange machines as he waits for Eszmet to arrive. He's not too early, is he? Either way, he probably shouldn't touch anything. ]

[It's essentially a server room. It has to be clean. There may or may not be some roombas about, and they may or may not be part of one of the enrichment programs for the developing SQUIPs; see how much dirt you can pick up, beat high scores, etc etc. Also of note is how cool it is in here; not cold, but it's well-ventilated, and effort is clearly made to keep the heat from building.

Hope you brought a scarf! And if you didn't- well, there's a familiar semi-translucent one around the neck of the figure appearing in the doorway behind you. It's big enough to share, but it probably won't be offered. Instead;]

[ The chill in the air is a little uncomfortable for Orpheus, but it's manageable, he's been through worse. He does start the tiniest bit when Eszmet arrives behind him, though that momentary look of surprise is quickly replaced by a friendly smile. ]

Yes. Some of the SQUIPs are ready for human interaction. I have a setup configured to allow you to project yourselves in to each other's space.

Okay! [ says Orpheus, not totally sure what the latter half of that means, but figuring it probably can't be too complicated or unsafe if Eszmet is asking him to do it over one of the others. ]

Just tell me what I need to do? [ He smiles, then pauses as he thinks of another question. ] Oh, but are these SQUIPS all parallel versions of you? Or are they different SQUIPs? Or, I guess it doesn't really matter? You're already so different from Spinel and CD-H, and they both started in the same place as you.
