Happy Holidays!


A catchall post for a variety of holidays for the R2-crew, set in the penthouse. Maybe you're decorating, and watching Anna set up nativity scenes faster than Mephisto can take them back down. Or maybe you're making holiday cookies, or eating a large meal (maybe even thanksgiving dinner???). Multi-Denominational Holiday party, that Anna has somehow broken Riley out of Juvie for, yowling about the first-amendment, which she's never studied? Or maybe it's time to just spend with friends and family, and play mean tricks on each other. Watch out for the Mistletoe!

[The sternness to his expression may have instilled anxiety in her once, but no longer. She had reason to be careful about the intentions of men, to guard herself against them. But Mephisto has proven himself to her in the direst of situations, and she does not fear him. She knows the bite missing from his tone, knows how to tiptoe on the line between obnoxious and endearing. She never thought she’d be so comfortable around anyone, let alone a demon.

But beside Mephisto, Anne is invincible.

She grins at him, and dares to laugh at his rebuke.]

Five minutes? Done. I’ll make it ten, if it’s good. [She's careful with the gift as she slides fingernails under tape, gently prying the wrapping apart.]

[The gift Mephisto has for Anne... probably isn't much, really. He knows that Anna has her own fortune, closets full of outfits, shoes and the Devil only knew what else. She was the woman who had it all, and Mephisto had spent many a night grinding his teeth. All of the power of creation, and he couldn't think of one thing.

It was when they were prepping the Penthouse, an array vague iconography to avoid leaning too heavily on one (or any) religion. At some point, red stockings had been hung about, and a few people had gotten a little too excited with glitter and decorations.

After they had gone to bed, Mephisto found himself staring at the bunch. And by the morning, his hands were sticky with glue and he was finding glitter behind his ears, but at least it was done.

The stocking has Anna's name on it, and Mephisto's best attempt at a woman kissing a lizard beneath a mistletoe beneath it. He glances away as she opens it up, not daring to meet her eyes.]

You don't live here. But. You are family, I suppose, and deserve recognition as such.
